Sana 4 Planet works in the field of agro-food biotechnology R&D sector to create innovative nutraceutical foods for human wellbeing.
We work for a healthier planet using plant ingredients from soil-regenerating crops and bioactives from agro-industrial process waste with one goal: to offer healthy smart food with a limited carbon, energy and water footprint.
Functional Pasta
We have developed a functional pasta based with only three ingredients: protein flours, vegetable fibres, pure water and air. The next development step involves the use of bioactives derived from residues from the agri-food industry, achieving the objectives of reducing pollution, environmental stress and "Zero Process Waste". This protein pasta differs for its palatability, distinct taste and fast cooking time.
Our innovation: EcoFast Cooking
EFC or EcoFast Cooking is a patented process that allows the production of functional protein pasta for human health that doesn't require the classic boiling. To cook a portion of pasta you need a small pan, a glass of water and just 5/6 minutes of cooking. An internal study shows that the Sana4Planet protein pasta produced with the ECF process allows:

Improve the quality of life of the elderly through functional foods
Malnutrition in the elderly causes the loss of autonomy, the worsening of chronic diseases and quality of life with an increase in social costs and repercussions on health systems.
1 of 3 is malnourished; 20 million in the EU27 are at risk of malnutrition, 33 million adults with a social cost of €120 billion | 7 of 10 residents in nursing homes suffer from malnutrition and poor quality of life,
1 in 4 aged 80/85+ are affected by nutritional frailty and related increases in cases of dementia in later life,
1 out of 5 has diabetes - 7 million deaths in 2021; in 2030 it will be the 7th cause of death worldwide.
Sana 4 Planet will develop nutraceuticals foods that will have benefits on the immune and cardiovascular systems, with benefits on mood, which will mitigate the effects of oxidative stress. Conducting a clinical trial on elderly residents in nursing homes will be an indispensable condition for providing scientific evidence of the benefits expected from the developed functional foods.
